Demand Justice for Akai Gurley!

On November 20th, NYPD rookie Officer Peter Liang shot and killed Akai Gurley, an unarmed, Black, 28-year old father, while conducting a vertical patrol in the Louis H. Pink Houses in East New York. Akai was with his girlfriend, who lives at the Pink Houses, and had just entered the stairwell to return to her apartment after akai had his hair done ata neighbor's place. They had done nothing at all wrong, Officer Liang simply fired into the stairwell from the floor above them, after hearing a noise in the stairwell. Officer Liang has been indicted for the murder of Akai Gurley, and is going to trial in May, 2015.

"Justice for Akai Gurley" is calling on New Yorkers to pack the courts to support Akai Gurley's family, as NYPD officer Peter Liang attends faces trial for the murder of Akai.
