Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn: Iman Morales, a 35-year-old Puerto Rican man, was Tasered by NYPD Officer Nicholas Marchesona while standing on the ledge of a store front awning 10 feet high without an inflatable bag to break his fall. Despite NYPD protocol disallowing the use of tasers on people who are elevated, Iman’s mother Olga Negron's cries for an inflatable bag to break her son’s fall, and clear indications that he was experiencing a mental health crisis, the officers still tased Iman, causing him to fall to his death. No officers involved in the incident were ever charged.
